TRIPLE BAY BOX

SINGLE BAY

  • Our rod holders are made in the USA of High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) which is a polyethylene thermoplastic made from petroleum.
  • HDPE has little branching, giving it stronger intermolecular forces and tensile strength than lower-density polyethylene.  It is also harder and more opaque and can withstand temperatures as high as 248 degrees F and as low as -148 degrees F.
  • HDPE is resistant to many different solvents and chemicals.
  • HDPE is preferred to steel or PVC in a number of applications because it is more durable and more importantly it is much safer compared to steel or PVC.  If products containing HDPE were to be involved in an explosion, HDPE tends to rip and tear instead of shattering into sharp pieces which can kill or maim.  PVC and steel are particularly prone to this and their use is avoided where possible.
  • Individually molded pieces increase the strength and durability vs. bases made of PVC and screwed or glued together.
  • All non-corrosive stainless steel hardware, made in the USA, provided on all triple rod holders, thus eliminating the need for periodic replacement of hardware to avoid rust.
  • Limited Lifetime Warranty - that the product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product to the original end user.
  • T-Knobs make it much easier than wing nuts for tightening.
  • They are available in multiple styles for various applications.  The hole for the butt of the rod is 1 3/4" wide and the upper portion of the rod rests on the front of the rod holder.  A baitcast or closed-face reel sets upright  with the handle to the right or left; a spinning reel lies to either side with the handle up.

The Triple Bay Flat rod holder can be mounted directly on the boat gunnel or railing  with screws, or bolts, or attached using C-clamps for easier removal.  Triple Bay Flats have a slightly flexible base so they can be used on variable surfaces. T-knobs provide easy tightening.

TRIPLE BAY FLAT

Our updated 2.0 models included nylon T-knobs, which make it easier to tighten.

The Single Bay rod holders can be placed anywhere, either directly on your boat gunnel or dock, or attaching them directly to a railing. It is suggested to use a 1/4" carriage bolt no less than 3/4" long with one PVC washer and one T-Knob.

The Triple Bay Box rod holder fits over a railing (up to 1 3/4") with bolts to create a snug fit (if side paneling is present, you must drill two small holes to secure holder over railing).  The carriage bolts are pressed in from underneath and T-knobs making tightening easier.
